One of the best (and most addictive) games Ive ever played!! At $20 it may seem a little expensive, but definitely worth every penny! I highly recommend purchasing this game!
After alot of achievement in the game it just shows that im a new user and ask me for my name and all the scores are gone !!!!! Im really disappointed …… is there a fix for that?
I have vision problems and am always on the lookout for games that dont require speed or have busy interfaces. This app has something for everyone, timed games that require speed - and games that dont. Some of the music is absurdly catchy and theres plenty of achievments to try and win. My only quibble with it is that I cant get to stop giving me hints if I dont make a move faste fast enough - the settings to not show hints seem to not be taking and I just hate them, distracting. Anyway, good game - thanks People Who Made It.
I am a recent Mac convert. I ran Bejeweled on my PC, and the graphics were spectacular. I would expect the Mac program, at twice the price, would be even more pleasing. This is not the case. The graphics here look cartoonish and are far inferior to the PC version. My other complaint is that when advancing to another level, you loose the placements from the previous screen. This was not the case in the PC version. If you had three in a row, that was duplicated on the next screen, albeit sometimes with different squares. But the patterns remained the same. Overall I am very disappointed with this version.
The graphics in the game are great, but it is missing Blitz, which is what I love most on my iPhone. It would be nice if it was even offered as a seperate app. Its not even an option for Mac. If you love the game alone, then this is the app for you, especially since the new game modes are actually really fun. If you want an app to play Bejeweled Blitz, save your money. Im glad I got it for $10 for a Valentines day special price and didnt spend $20 on this game.
Ive seen this game at the top of the mac app store charts for some time now, Ive read all the glowing reviews (on this site & others), but I just couldnt see paying 20 bucks for what is essentially a match 3 game. When this went on sale for 10 bucks, I held my breath and clicked buy. I instantly thought, Im going to regret this…. WOW, was I wrong, after opening the game and playing 2 hours straight, seeing how much content Popcap managed to pack into a match 3 game….and the beautiful graphics….and the wonderful music/sound effects….I just had to post a review. Ive never been a fan of these kind of games (more of a RTS, TD fan at heart), but took a chance because of all the positive press tied to Bejeweled, and it is much better then I could have imagined. The way it takes a basic puzzle game premise, adds a very professional visual & audio presentation, and finally through its varied gameplay modes adds a layer of strategy that makes Bejeweled 3 the best of its kind with immense crossover appeal. While I still dont think Id pay 20 bucks for this (my rule is never to spend more then 5 bucks for a download, due to the lack of a physical product with the options and support that come with a physical copy), I broke my own rule and paid 10 thanks to the temptation of a sale price and dont regret it for a second. Great quality with hours of entertainment value.
Ive had a great time with this. It is really fun and challenging. I have made it to 100% on the extra games, which required a lot of practic, but STILL cannot get up to level 10 of classic in order to get the badge for that. Thats what I mean when I say its challenging. You really dont want a game to be too easy. This is a really good game.
Bejeweled is such a classic and never gets old with quite a few hours of replay value! However, now that Mountain Lion has brought us Game Center and Facebook integration, I would like to see an update that gives us that within Bejeweled 3, or even a version of Blitz for the Mac would be awesome as well, without necessarily having to go directly into Facebook all the time.
I love this game so much!!!!! Im amazed at how far this game has come The one thing that would make it more awesome is iCloud syncing with Bejeweled on iOS and a Blitz mode for FB users Other than that, keep up the amazing work, PopCap!!!!!!!!
This is one of the most expensive games I have purchased , was well worth the money. I have played all the different sections of it. Has several levels of badges gold , etc. for each section. The music is really nice, to me it didnt get irritating. It has enough variety ,timed , just levels , and the quest section was fun. I would recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys this type of game.
I have to give this 5 stars if only because I spend so much time playing this. I like the 4 new secret modes, and the quest mode is fun (but way too easy). I do miss the secret mode from Bejeweled 2, which had the gems alternating falling upwards and backwards. A suggestion for the next version: bring back the tutorial mode, and add more difficult levels to the quest mode.
This is Bejeweled. If you already know the game, you know how addictive it can be. Maybe puzzle games arent your thing, and thats fine too. if you have ever spent an afternoon playing this in any previous form, you can rest assured that this version is still an enormous time waster (in the best possible way). My only problem is with the hovering hints. When you are trying to quickly survey the board for a move in a timed round and a big blocky "hint" pops up to tell you what a special gem does for the hundredth time, it is VERY annoying. I have tried to figure out if there is a way to disable this, but Im stumped. Please, PLEASE allow me to turn this off! Ive been playing this game for years and I know what these gems do. I dont need hovering distractions!
THis is a great game, but for $20.00, there needs to be some updates and new levels and versions added. Ive had it over a year and there have been none. After while, it gets boring to do the same game over and over.
I Definitly recommend this game. worth the money . ull play for hours
This is a classic Bejeweled game right here. It’s fun, puzzling, and, oh yeah, amazing! The only thing that I am not so fond of is the “Butterflies" game mode. How do you get butterflies out of gems? Well, anyway, I would’ve liked to see a puzzle mode, like Bejeweled 2. And also, the quest mode, those aren’t really puzzles, they are just quests in my opinion. In conclusion, awesome game! Why not $14.99?
I loved this game the moment I played it. My favorite is the Lightening Round. I never thought I would surpass the score listed on the scoreboard but persistence payed off. I actually reached 600,000 and was thrilled. I left the game for a few months to play other games and when I returned to continue where I left off at 600,000 it only registered 500,000 plus points. I don’t know how that happened but now it gives me more of a challenge to reach my previous score. You need to focus very hard and click quickly before your time runs out. I wouldn’t trade this game for all the games I downloaded to my Mac computer. I’m a senior citizen and believe me this game is a blast. I love it when the board lights up like I won a won the jackpot on a slot machine. I highly recommend this game for all ages. It may at first look not seem a challenge but give it a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. Pierre
