Good! Awesome! Espectacular! To a point...

Bejweled 2 for the Mac was in life-support. Lets face it: This game is a mobile game ported to the desktop. The Mac version was eclypsed by the mobile version and the superfun Facebook Blitz app, that was also integrated with Bejeweled Mobile. So Bejeweled 3 comes to save the day. Well, yes and no. Bejeweled 3 has new fun modes of play, because, seriously, the classic mode with its arbitrary "no more moves" was really showing its age, and right now, its completely unnecesary. There is even a mode of play called "lighting" that emulates the Blitz mode. But, for a price way higher than the mobile version, this is really Bejeweled 2.5.

To be Bejeweled 3, this game needs something more than new play modes and a few new jewels. It needs multiplayer, online capabilities, social media integration. Essentially, it needs to have some features now available in the mobile and Facebook versions.

Once that upgrade arrives, Ill rate the game its fifth star.
