Disappointed.

Like most people who play this game, I really love it for the Blitz mode. I have Bejeweled 2 with Blitz mode built in on my Windows machine and love it, so when I saw Bejeweled 3 here in the app store on my MacBook Pro I was quick to spend the $ on the premium priced newer version expecting great things (why shouldnt I - or we - after the success of Bejewelled 2?). I was highly disappointed!

The only reason I wish I hadnt purchased this game before doing my own research online is the MISSING BLITZ MODE - there is no online multiplayer support in this game (as of version 1.0) and for me, being that Blitz was my favorite mode, that makes this game worth no more than half of what I paid for it.

As other users have pointed out, there IS a full screen mode IF you take the time to check your options, but the graphics and gameplay are basically the same with different names for the modes. The closest thing youre going to get to Blitz mode with this game is "Lightening Mode," but without the online multiplayer support or ability to connect to Facebook (which was all the rage for Blitz to begin with), its kind of pointless to try to beat out your score and the like... Who gets personal gratification out of that without being able to play against and gloat all over their friends?

That being said, its still Bejeweled and its still a fun game with pretty graphics and addictive properties. Its just lacking the functionality of online support and I think thats a pretty stupid and backwards move on behalf of PopCap. Bring back Blitz and online support!!
